The loss of a loved one affects all aspects of the survivor's present and future functioning and can be severely disruptive to their psychological health and balance. The focus of this course is to unravel the complexities of losing a loved one and provide a clearer understanding of loss and grief in this context.
This course covers the theoretical background of loss and grief; provides different types of grief; differentiates grief from depression; and provides detailed guidelines to conducting grief counselling with useful techniques.
