There are evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches that have been successful with this client group, but there are multiple challenges, barriers, and ethical considerations involved in integrating psychotherapy into the criminal justice system. Dr. Sapp discusses these and proposes strategies to ensure comprehensive, effective care for offending populations with substance use disorders.</p>
