About this course
For Dr. Debbie Joffe Ellis (Columbia University), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, or REBT, is a way of life. She believes that when counsellors do their best to live their own lives practicing the principles they recommend to others, there is a greater authenticity and stability in their practice. Therapists can become more genuinely empathic, compassionate, balanced, and stable when they become an inspiring model for the client. When the therapist becomes an image that reinforces for clients what they have the potential to achieve, this can be a motivating force for their clients in their therapeutic journey. In this course, Dr. Joffe Ellis explores these concepts, and how principles of REBT can be applied to support your therapeutic practice.
