In this course, Dr. Tahani Dari, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, Assistant Professor, University of Toledo, details four case studies which exemplify the myriad challenges faced by refugee and immigrant youth. She outlines how culture can impact wellbeing and explains six types of interventions which promote recovery from trauma: psychosocial programming, psychoeducation, trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative exposure therapy, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing, and art therapy.
