About this course

In this course, Dr. Tahani Dari (Ph.D., LPC, NCC, Assistant Professor at University of Detroit-Mercy) presents a rationale for engaging research about communities using the alternative model of community-based participatory research rather than the traditional model. Dr. Dari explains why, from the sampling stage of a research project onward, it is crucial to include a diverse sample to achieve the most effective advocacy and bridging the gap between research and practice. She then walks you through the five-level community-based model for participatory research, outlining the steps included in each level. A Q & A session follows.
