About this course

In this course, Dr. Isaac Prilleltensky, Vice Provost for Institutional Culture at the University of Miami, defines mattering as the experience of feeling valued and adding value, and shows its relationship to wellbeing at individual, organisational, and community levels. With an outline of nine questions to be answered in the talk, Prilleltensky uses numerous diagrams and mnemonics to illustrate the close association between mattering and aspects such as autonomy, life satisfaction, achievement of purpose, workforce engagement, and social justice.
