Very Complex Kids: When ADHD & Autism Converge

In this course, Elaine Taylor-Klaus explains why parents have been an underutilised resource in the treatment of complex children and shows how they can be utilised more effectively.

About this course

In this course, Elaine Taylor-Klaus (CPCC; MCC; CEO and Co-founder, ImpactParents and ImpactADHD) shares her lived experience of being a mother of three complex children under the age of 10. Noting the myriad, understandable but often unconstructive reactions of parents to their complex children’s behaviour, Taylor-Klaus explains the multiple barriers that keep parents from help-seeking but emphasises the centrality of their input to achieve a complete treatment protocol. She offers numerous case studies to show the commonality of diagnoses of complex children and highly recommends the uptake of BMT (behaviour management training) for parents.
