Wellbeing 2.0: Getting To Know Your Nervous System
Wellbeing 2.0: Getting To Know Your Nervous System
In this course, Dr. Chad Luke & Logan Miles explain how a therapist can use nervous system science to deepen clinical presence and therapeutic effectiveness – shifting from prescriptive techniques toward a practical, relationship-centred framework that begins with the clinician’s own regulation and extends to clients through attuned, moment-by-moment choices.

About this course
In this course, counsellor-educator and neuroscience-integration researcher Dr. Chad Luke & counsellor and mindfulness educator Logan Miles introduce a practice-oriented framework for understanding what the nervous system is “doing” in therapy and how clinicians can respond ethically and effectively. This course focuses on nervous system inputs – five inherited dimensions that shape regulation, threat detection, and relational patterns – while modelling how therapists can notice their own activation, create space for client agency, and avoid shortcuts that replace curiosity with technique. Across real-world clinical examples, learners gain a clearer map for case conceptualisation, in-session pacing, and relational safety, with immediate practical applications for supporting embodied awareness, reducing therapist over-functioning, and fostering resilient change.
