Expert Bio

Adele Cox is a Bunuba and Gija woman from the Kimberley region of Western Australia and is the Chief Executive Officer of Thirrili Ltd and Project Director of the National Indigenous Critical Response Service (NICRS). Adele’s research and consultancy work has a focus on advocacy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health; particularly in mental health and suicide prevention. She has held senior roles with a range of research and evaluation projects including the National Empowerment Project and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention Evaluation Project and more recently, held an academic role at the University of Western Australia. Adele is currently a member of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Advisory Group and the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Leadership in Mental Health group.
