Dr. Anastasia Hronis is a clinical psychologist and founder of the Australian Institute for Human Wellness. She is a lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney, and conducts research in the areas of mental health, addictions, disability and group therapy. She is the author of <i>The Dopamine Brain<i>.

<p>Dr Anastasia Hronis is a clinical psychologist and founder of the Australian Institute for Human Wellness, an organisation dedicated to meeting the growing need for innovation in supporting mental health and wellbeing. Services include individual and group therapy, seminars for workplaces, school-based interventions and psychology-informed consultancy services. She is also the author of the book, <i>The Dopamine Brain</i>, published with Penguin Books in 2024. </p><br> <p> Anastasia is also a lecturer and research supervisor to the Master of Clinical Psychology students at the University of Technology Sydney. She conducts and supervises research in the areas of mental health, addictions, disability and group therapy. Her PhD research explored how therapy can be adapted for the needs of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities. </p><br> <p> Anastasia is an advocate for stepped care models of interventions in mental healthcare and works to deliver not only reactive mental health services but also services that are proactive and preventative. These include interventions ranging from prevention, low-intensity services, and acute care needs. Anastasia also advocates for further collaboration across services and sectors, to work collectively to provide the best quality evidence-based care for individuals and communities.</p>
