She has extensive training and experience in the therapeutic use of poetry and story, and received certification from Salve Regina University (Newport, Rhode Island) as an Expressive Arts Educational Facilitator. Diane is dedicated to transforming trauma and despair into life affirming creativity. Her story, "Bird That Wants To Fly" inspired an opera.</p>
