Expert Bio

<p>Kit Kline is a descendant of the Wampanoag tribe and has German, Scottish and Irish ancestry. She is a registered social worker and clinical supervisor and is the founder and director of Nature Based Therapy. Kit has been employed as a counsellor and trainer for over 20 years specialising in mental health and addictions. Her experience includes working in mainstream community health, Aboriginal health, drug and alcohol detox and rehabilitation services and training and assessment. </p><br/> <p>Kit’s qualifications include a master’s in social work, master's in aboriginal studies, BA in Indigenous studies, post graduate studies in mental health, alcohol and other drugs, welfare studies, holistic healing, youth work and training and assessment. Kit is a certified CI practitioner currently works as a counsellor in gambling addiction, has a private practice, offers supervision and mentoring and facilitates the advanced accreditation in nature based therapy training program. </p></br> <p> Kit advocates for social and environmental justice and is passionate about bringing nature based interventions into healthcare practice to ensure a sustainable and healthy society and planet. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time in nature with her four children, camping, travelling and learning about other cultures, road trips and watching a good documentary. </p>
