<p>Dr. Nikki Jamieson is a Suicidologist, Researcher, Author and Social Worker. She is considered a global expert on moral injury and suicide, and has led innovative research on the topic. She is also widely published, has authored two books, several papers, a micro-education app, and is a keynote speaker nationally and internationally.</p>

<p>Dr. Nikki Jamieson is a Suicidologist, Researcher, Author and Social Worker, and holds both a Masters and Ph.D. in Suicide in Australia; her thesis concerned moral injury and suicide. Nikki is considered a global expert on moral injury and suicide, and has led innovative research on the topic. She is also widely published, has authored two books, several papers, a micro-education app, and is a keynote speaker nationally and internationally.</p> <p> </p> <p>Dr. Jamieson has also worked strategically within suicide prevention across a range of government departments, including the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Queensland Health, Queensland Mental Health Commission and Defence and has been involved in a range of projects including the development and implementation of Queensland’s Suicide Prevention Plan and Defence and DVA’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategies. Nikki has also been involved in the lived experience space for many years after losing her son to suicide whilst he was serving in the Army.</p> <p> </p> <p>Nikki remains actively engaged in suicide prevention with memberships nationally, internationally, and locally including International Association for Suicide Prevention, Suicide Prevention Australia, Standby, and Postvention Australia and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. She has advocated for better mental health, wellbeing and suicide prevention for defence members and veterans including being instrumental in the current Royal Commission for Defence and Veteran Suicide.</p>
