  • Q&A: Sociocultural Factors in Young Men’s Development & Suicidality (watch). Dr. Zac Seidler discusses the many sociocultural factors that impact the development of young men around the world, touching upon pornography, social media, alarmism and gaming culture, as well as the detrimental effects of more extreme male-only online communities such as the Manosphere. Notes on the stigmatising nature of the term “toxic masculinity” are included, as well as the ramifications these factors have on the spread of wider equality within society. This video was extracted from the Mental Health Academy course, Young Men and Suicide: A Contemporary Lens On An Age-Old Problem.
  • Fireside: Working with Cybertrauma (watch). This conversation, featuring Jocelyn Brewer, explores ways you can support clients who have been impacted by cybertrauma. Topics covered include the difference between cybertrauma and traditional forms of trauma; effective strategies to help clients rebuild their sense of safety; keeping up with the ever-evolving cyber landscape; improving client digital literacy; specific considerations for young people; and much more.
  • Q&A: Fearless Me! Adaptations to CBT for Anxious Youth with Intellectual Disabilities (watch). Dr. Anastasia Hronis discusses the adaptations to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) that can be made for children & adolescents with intellectual disabilities – particularly those suffering from anxiety or depression. • By the Roots: ACEs, Environment & Compassion Fatigue (watch).
