9 Implicit Voices: A Framework for Enhancing Sensitive Awareness of the Client
In this course, Richard Hill shares neuroscience-based insights about how we can use nine “wellness voices” to make sensitive observations of clients.
About this course
In this course, Richard Hill shows how to attune to the emergent qualities of a therapy session by listening to nine implicit “wellness voices” in clients. These are: skin, sleep, sun, sugar, sitting, stress, sex, pain, and face. Discussing each of the voices individually, Hill explains concepts such as the functions of different sleep stages, the importance of Vitamin D from sun, the health risks posed by excessive sitting, and the reaction of pain centres in the brain to social rejection.
