<p>In this course, licensed professional counsellor and counsellor educator Dr. Kashon Corley, PhD, LPC-S, NCC, introduces her original research on the lived experiences of BIPOC EMDR counsellors working with BIPOC clients. Drawing from an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis framework, Dr. Corley explores how cultural identity, trauma, and clinical training intersect in EMDR practice. Participants will learn the eight phases of EMDR, key trauma-informed principles, and cultural adaptations necessary for effective therapy. This course bridges evidence-based theory with real-world experience to deepen clinicians’ cultural competence and enhance their effectiveness with diverse clients.</p>
