About this course
This is the first of a 5-part sequential series by Dr. Greg Brigman, Ph.D. The series provides therapists who work in schools with a tested framework to develop a practical and engaging teacher wellbeing program. In Part 1, Dr. Brigman contextualises the program, noting that whole school wellness begins with teacher wellbeing. The focus of this first session is to enhance understanding of what ways of eating bring optimal health. Food rules, the Mediterranean Diet, and NIH guidelines all figure in the picture, along with information on inflammation and low- and high-glycaemic-index foods. Dr. Brigman goes over the building blocks of self-efficacy. Throughout the presentation, he models how you can make the lecture come alive for teachers or others through active movements to help remember various points.
