About this course
In this course, David W. Covington, LPC, MBA, CEO and President, RI International, argues the case for a paradigm of zero suicide. Through the use of numerous analogies, personal vignettes, and epidemiological notions such as “R-Nought”, Covington presents four “big ideas” which can lead to the “Big Hairy Audacious Goal” (BHAG) of achieving zero suicide: (1) that we must genuinely aspire for zero; (2) that we need to incorporate lived experience into the design of suicide prevention programs; (3) that we must start from the other end (looking at the end goal); and (4) that the goal should emanate from the leader.
